Kaş is situated on the Lycian coast in the south of Turkey, popularly called the Turkish Riviera. Almost all major airlines provide their services to Turkey. There there are two airports at the nearby cities of Dalaman and Antalya. The Dalaman airport is closest at 140 km from Kaş and takes 2 to 2.5 hours by car. The Antalya airport is 200 km from Kaş and the journey by car takes 3 to 4 hours by car. Both airports are open year round but many international flights into Dalaman are only scheduled during the main season from April through the end of October. To get from the Dalaman airport to the Dalaman bus station (otogar) you must take a taxi, there is no local bus from the airport. The first otogar heading east is in Dalaman and from Dalaman east the next major otogar is in Fethiye. Taxis from Dalaman can be hired to take you directly to Kaş for between 160 to 180 TL.
Havaş buses, Fethiye to/from Dalaman Airport, cost 20 TL each way. Their shuttle is direct to/from the Fethiye otogar.
The Havaş web site states:
“Shuttle is available for all domestic aircraft landing at Dalaman Airport…Our shuttles are arranged according to aircraft departure times. Our shuttles depart from the intercity bus terminal 2.5 hours before aircraft departure times.”
In Fethiye, there are regularly running small passenger buses to Kaş and other points along the Lycian Coast. Large bus companies run cross country buses throughout Turkey. They are modern and very comfortable and run once a day directly into Kaş.
