Break time Fevzi Dikici
Fevzi advises both beginning and experienced divers to consider the quality and reputation of any dive center before choosing one to dive with or take a dive course. Kaş, on the Mediterranean Coast, is the best spot in Turkey for diving. Because of this, many dive centers are located in Kaş. Fevzi suggests that when you arrive at a dive resort, ask around, see who offers courses and diving tours which emphasize quality and safety. Also ask about the experience and knowledge of the dive instructors and the dive and boat crews. Cost should be your last consideration.
Fevzi was raised in Antalya, Turkey where he went to high school. He later graduated with a degree in Economics from Uludağ University in Bursa in the year 2004. He is an AIDA 3* Free Diver and is qualified in or certified to teach PADI IDC Staff, TSSF CMAS 2*, PADI EFR, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). He is a member of the Handicapped Scuba Association (HSA) and teaches the Care For Children W/AED course as well as Basic Life Support (BLS) which includes CPR and rescue breathing. He can offer Specialty Courses such as Deep Water, Navigation, Night Diving, Underwater Photography, Wreck Diving, and Buoyancy Control.
Fezz is also a member of the PADI Project Aware Conservation Program, a nonprofit which is concerned with critical underwater conservation issues and Project Aware “mobilizing to protect our ocean planet in more than 180 countries and territories.”

During the summers of 2000-2002 he also worked with Seraki Diving Center in Kemer as a CMAS Diving Instructor and in 2003 he decided to travel a bit and went to Alaska. He worked in a cannery which was located in Wrangell, Alaska. He was on a work and study visa as a student and worked there as a summer job. He came back to Turkey and from 2003 – 2004 he was HSA Diving Instructor for the Alternative Camp in Bodrum. As a result of this experience he took these skills back to Uludağ University and started an HSA program at the school. This program is still going on.
He got the wandering bug again and decied to try his luck in Thailand and from 2006 through 2007 he worked as a free lance Diving Instructor at both Similan Scuba Adventures, Khao Lak /Thailand and Phuketdivers in Khao Lak, Thailand. He has also free lanced as a diving instructor in Indonesia on Lombok Island.
The diving season on the Indian Ocean side of Thailand is from October through April and the Malayasian season is from March through November. During the 2007 through 2008 seasons he worked in both Lanta Fun Divers of Koh Lanta, Thailand and Universal Diver of Perhentian, Malaysia as a Dive Manager and Diving Instructor. He helped improve upon the success of Universal Diver to higher levels of quality and fun.
During the 2008 to 2009 season, Fevzi decided to travel to Latin America because he wanted to learn Spanish and dive in different environment. He first landed in Costa Rica and went on to Nicaragua and travelled some. He then ended up in Honduras where he was a Diving Instructor for the Captain Morgan Dive Center Utila, Honduras. After the Honduras job finished he then travelled to Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, and Cuba and then on to Ecuador, the Galapagos, ended his sojourn in Colombia. He returned to Turkey for a family visit and returned to Malaysia. At the end of the dive season there he went to Maldives to free lance for a month. The following year he returned to the Maldives as a Diving Instructor at The True Maldives.
